Jess’ Christmas Cards Over the Years

So every year I receive beautiful Christmas cards from my friends with pictures of their adorable families…now for some reason I don’t have an adorable family (probably because I’m a nightmare) but I didn’t want to be left out of the Christmas card fun so I got creative!

The first year I used a picture of me and Steve Earle…yes Copperhead Road Steve Earle and I photo shopped a cat named “Boots the Digital Cat” into the pic. This card confused a lot of people because they thought it was me and my dad (my dad looks nothing like Steve Earle)

The next year I went a little more traditional with a Santa Picture:

After this one I retired my friend Boots The Digital Cat and with the help of an AMAZING photographer and childhood friend, Sarah from Timelapse Photography, I went a little crazy. This card ended up on Buzzfeed, The Chive, Reddit and newspapers all over the world.

And this year I finally have that adorable family I always wanted…ok maybe he’s not an entire family but adopting Duffy has made my life a billion times happier so I didn’t need to do anything crazy this year. Ok, maybe a photoshoot with Red Photo Co with my dog was a little crazy.

Now I have to think of something for next year! -Jess
